Willie and Nancy Johnson-Rauen founded Indigo Bowls after discovering açaí bowls in Arizona in 2021. They started with a solar-powered food truck in 2022, launching in southeastern Minnesota with eco-friendly practices and unique Berry Divine soft-serve açaí. After successful operations at local events and markets, serving creative bowls with various toppings and dietary options, they’re expanding to their first brick-and-mortar location near Century High School in Rochester. The store will complement their food truck operations, providing year-round service while maintaining their commitment to sustainability through compostable materials.
